Our Story

Since 2007 Carbon Risk Management has focused on proactively positioning ASX and international clients by helping them to analyse how climate change is driving risks and opportunities to their business.

As managing director of Carbon Risk Management, Evan Stamatiou have successfully led the development of corporate decarbonisation strategies involving updates to governance structures, setting science-based targets, internal carbon prices, and improved integration of climate change-related risks and opportunities into enterprise-wide risk management frameworks with the support of climate change scenario analysis. Evan is also experienced in conducting climate risk screening over investment porfolios to support corporate investment/ divestment decision-making.

Evan’s in-depth understanding of climate change-related risks is supported by deep technical greenhouse emissions expertise. As one of Australia’s most experienced greenhouse emissions practitioners Evan assists clients in multiple sectors to develop and understand complex GHG inventories. As an experienced ‘Lead CER Greenhouse & Energy auditor’ (RGEA 0122/2011) Evan supports government agencies by auditing GHG inventories and carbon reduction claims under NGERS, ERF, SGM, Climate Active, amongst others.

Through offset project auditing Evan has developed an expert-level understanding of Australian and international carbon offset markets. Evan leverages this expertise to provide strategic advisory services including the development of corporate carbon offset strategies. Evan also specialises in protecting the interests of counterparties through commercial contract negotiations.

Evan is also a highly skilled communicator and frequently facilitates training and workshops on various climate change-related topics to corporate and family office clients.
